Semi-Formal Sneak Peek

My family and I like to visit our favorite clothing/ thrift store on Wednesday nights from time to time. All clothing is 50% off on Wednesday nights (except for one color tag), which is why we choose to go then.
The last few times I really haven't found much to add to my wardrobe, but tonight I found the most gorgeous dress! CBA's semi-formal is coming up in May and I was getting a little worried because I didn't have a semi-formal dress yet. Last year I wore a dreamy blush color dress I actually got for free:

And while shopping tonight I found this!

This dress, of course had the tag that wasn't 50% off, so it was still $30... but  it was still cheaper than it would've been getting it new.
Yay for cheap semi-formal dresses!

Welp, here's part 6 of The Quest!:

So I followed Anna out into the room with all the cool gadgets. She looked around and shook her head. “Hmm, seems Glen is taking longer than I thought. Oh well, you can look around if you’d like.” I grinned, “Thanks!” Turning to the large bookcase in the wall closest to me, I looked it over eagerly. There were video cameras, sunglasses, “bugs”, flashlights, hats, a few assorted spy books, wigs, and other cool stuff. I was studying the interesting sunglasses when Glen walked up behind me. “Those glasses are special ya know, they have a special paint on the far sides of the glass that make them work like rear-view mirrors.” I turned to face him, saying, “That’s amazi…” I stared when I saw him. He was dressed up in a nice black suit, his red hair was slicked back smooth, and he looked. Well. He was sorta handsome I guess. He smiled. “What?” I looked down. “Nothing.” Anna snorted. “You two ready to go?” I looked up at her. “Where?” Glen opened the glass door that was on the case I was looking at. he pulled out two pairs of regular glasses. I looked at him curiously. “Uh, I don’t wear glasses…” he grinned. “Oh, I know. But these glasses are just glass. But they have a tiny video camera in the rims. So everything you hear and see, Anna can watch from here!” I raised my eyebrows. “That’s genius!” he nodded. “Sure is. Our friend made them himself…” he turned to Anna. “I think we’re all set sis.” I stared. Sis? They’re sibling? Wow. I followed them into a weird glass room. Anna pressed a few buttons that were on a panel in the wall, and then she walked back to the door. “Good luck guys, I’ll see you soon!” Glen smiled. “Yeah, see you soon.” I smiled too, but said nothing. I was too busy wondering what was going to happen next. I noticed that the room we were in seemed to be a vertical glass cylinder. Anna closed the door tight, and pressed a button. She smiled and waved. Glen waved back, and then turned to me. “Hold on to the bars.” I turned around and saw that there was a metal bar wrapped around the inside of the tube: Perfect height for holding onto. I placed my hands onto the warm metal surface. “What is this room?” I asked, waiting for something to happen, Glen smiled. “It’s kinda like an elevator, but waaaay faster. And even better, it’s invisible to anyone who isn’t wearing these glasses.” The room shook a little, so we both gripped the bars tighter. He grinned. “Here we go!”

    1. Aww, thank you so much! *sigh* if you lived just a lil bit closer, we'd dress up for no reason and watch Frozen (; that would be soo fun ^_^
Haha! I've been doing the same thing. We both have Spring Fever badly. It's spring...but it snowed here on Monday or Tuesday....*shiver*

    3. Oh great...now it makes me want to cry too. I'm just imagining us sitting on a couch watching frozen in fancy formal dresses with mascara running down our faces...haha.
Mmm I love rain when I'm outside in it and it's not thundering...if I'm inside when it's raining, I just feel like curling up and sleeping. =P

    1. Agh! I'm so excited now. I was so surprised when I found it hanging on the rack, if anybody was watching me they probably thought I was nuts. I was just like "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!"

So, you're 100% sure about the second prom now then? Maybe I'll still go....I haven't turned in my money yet.

Aww, I'm sure you'll find one. Rachel told me she found one online for just $20, so you just have to look for the cheap stuff (:
